How can you go wrong with a movie about Johnny Cash? Released in 2005 and starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, this film explores the life of Johhny Cash from the days of his humble upbringing to his rise to fame, his beautiful love story, and his tendencies towards self-destruction.
This one's a Rockabilly must and you'll ooh and ahh over that rock n' roll country aesthetic and the movie's incredible soundtrack, a little taste of it included below. Give it a watch and you'll see what we mean!
This Rockabilly gem is centered around a New York gang in the 1960's, bringing in the elements of high school, rock n' roll, and fast cars. Starring Ken Wahl and Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark), this classic will make you laugh, it'll make you dance, and it'll make you wish you could time travel back to this too-cool-for-school era. What more could you want in a movie?

You're the one that I want! Okay so this one's an obvious choice, but we just couldn't make a list of Rockabilly movies without Grease.
Starring a dreamy John Travolta and irresistible Olivia Newton-John in their iconic roles of Danny and Sandy, Grease is an absolute classic and holds the perfect combination of high school drama, turbulent romance, rock n' roll, 1950's fashion, and the magic of youth. If that isn't enough, the soundtrack is in a league completely of its own.
